What is a turban squash?
Turban squash, as the name implies, have beautifully colored crowns or top-knots of white, green and orange stripes. This rich looking squash has a sweet golden flesh and makes an eye-catching tureen for serving soup.

How To Eat
Quarter and place cut side down in a cooking dish with 1/2 inch of water, cover and bake for 60-75 minutes at 375 degrees. Microwave halves in same amount of water for 18-20 minutes loosely covered with plastic wrap. Glaze with honey or stuff with meat and vegetables.

Health Benefits
Turban Squash is low in saturated fat and low in cholesterol.

How To Choose
Choose squash with hard shells that seem heavy for their size.

How To Store
Store uncut in a cool, dry area up to 3 months. Refrigerate cut squash up to 1 week.
